Fastener Show

Back bigger and better than ever, the Taiwan International Fastener Show is looking to capitalise on emerging opportunities in the international market…

Taiwan’s International Fastener Show is set to return to Kaohsiung Exhibition Centre for 2020, taking place 21-23 April, with the scale of the exhibition meeting ‘a new high’, organisers say.

More than 420 manufacturers will use around 1,200 booths to showcase themselves and their products to international visitors from across the globe.

And this comes as no surprise, as the strength of Taiwan’s fastener industry is well known. Potentially prosperous trade opportunities with the US are emerging for Taiwanese companies as a result of President Trump’s ongoing trade war with China, and coupled with rapid advancements in automation and Industry 4.0, these factors make the industry an increasingly attractive prospect for firms looking to form and strengthen trading relations with Taiwanese manufacturers.

Torque Magazine was invited out by TAITRA to visit the production facilities of 10 domestic fastener companies set to exhibit at the Kaohsiung show, and find out more about the health of Taiwan’s fastener industry. Find out more about the companies here.

More than 2,193 international buyers from 73 countries descended on the exhibition last year, a 10% increase on the previous show. Meanwhile, the number of domestic and foreign visitors exceeded 30,000.

This year, in addition to extending space available on the show floor organisers have planned an outdoor exhibition area for the first time, which will see various fasteners, screws, nuts, production equipment, fastener tools, moulds, testing equipment and wire-related products and services exhibited.

TAITRA is welcoming international buyers to visit and register in advance to receive the latest exhibition information.
