For your own protection

The PPE market is predicted to hit a whopping US $54.3 billion by the end of next year*. The same report predicts that PPE for the construction market in the Asia-Pacific region will outperform the global market while manufacturing – globally - will remain the biggest end-user segment, with 32.5% of the market. Rock Fall

Supplying more than 600,000 pairs of safety footwear a year, Rock Fall has seen 11 years of growth exceeding 20% every year. Last year it added 13 new positions to the company and improved its field sales presence to service its network of over 500 authorised distribution partners in the UK.

Further expansion is in its sights too – the Alfreton-based business has just expanded its offering to the Emergency Services sector. The newly developed range of patrol and uniform boots have been designed to be highly durable but formal. Featuring a FORCE10 Solid Nitrile Rubber sole unit, the range is set to be followed by more ranges aimed at frontline emergency services staff.

The second-generation family-owned business recently attained ISO 45001:2018 accreditation from Lloyds Register, covering occupational health and management safety systems.

WernerCo

WernerCo is a leading manufacturer of fall protection equipment and has recently introduced the Blue Armor Fall Protection Harness. It’s both OSHA and ANSI-compliant and is designed for proven post-fall performance. Traditionally fall protection equipment is designed to stop a fall but may not be equipped to perform in a post-fall situation; this can result in suspension trauma for a fall victim and potential chaos during rescue, says WernerCo.

The new Fall Protection Harness includes easy-to-grab patented Relief Handles built into the harness, for immediate use. Users are able to shift their weight into a “Chair in the Air” position, which resembles a typical seated pose. Crucially, this helps relieve pressure on the femoral arteries, reducing the chance for health risks and making users less stressed while they await rescue.

It comes with a removable padded work belt capable of holding tools. WebAlert inspectable webbing makes wear and damage visible and obvious, while lightweight form-fitting padding with breathable compression interior is designed to protect the user and prevent tangling when donning.

Sealey

Sealey stepped in to save the Worksafe brand last September and the new owner is now offering a number of PPE kits through the Worksafe name. The SEP1 brings together Flexi Grip Nitrile Palm Gloves, Standard Goggles (indirect vent) and a fold flat mask. Ear plugs round-out the low-cost package. For a few extra quid, the SEP4 upgrades the mask and – more significantly – ditches the ear plugs in favour of some much higher spec Ear Defenders (Cat 3 – Standard).

Sealey’s complete product range can be viewed on their freshly revamped website.

Copies of the new promotions and 19/20 Tool Catalogue are currently with stockists. For more details call 01284 757500.
