Cavity Fixings

There are different types of substrates that require specific fastening solutions and Mungo Befestigungstechnik AG offers a wide range of different fasteners to meet the specific requirements and environmental conditions.

Lightweight construction relies on hollow and more unstable elements, such as perforated bricks, lightweight concrete or boards made of lightweight materials. Hollow elements have different stabilities compared to concrete and are mainly used in interior construction with lightweight building materials for partition walls and suspended ceilings.

In the interior, the MJP (above) is particularly suitable for single and double plasterboard as well as gypsum fibreboard. With its slim, cutting thread, it penetrates soft building materials effortlessly and, with its special locking mechanism, prevents the anchor from turning when the screw is unscrewed while installed.

The MFJ (above) is made of glass fibre-reinforced polyamide (PA6) and is therefore already electrically insulating due to its material. The centre point of the MFJ also makes it easy to set and drill into the plate. Here, too, the cutting thread cuts securely into the soft substrate.

The cavity fastener MHD (above) is characterised by its increased load-bearing capacity and installation safety. It enables fast, controlled and simple installation. In particular, the MSN (below) prevents the dowel from being pulled through and enables trouble-free screwing with its centric guidance. In addition, it is fire resistant, which provides additional safety.

Mungo's cavity fixing offers solutions for a wide range of applications. Whether it's gypsum board or particle board, the surfaces and loads to be supported vary, so different cavity fastening solutions are required.

Complete assortment for all plasterboard and cavity fixing

Drywall made of plasterboard or gypsum fibreboard is a proven method for pulling in walls and for renovations. CELO fixings technology provides a step-by-step guide to the fastening suited for each stage of construction.

Each assembly step requires special fastening solutions: the construction of stud frames made of wood or metal, the assembly of drywall and the subsequent fastening of objects with plasterboard anchors (cavity anchors).

Moreover, cavity wall plugs are not only suitable for fastening to board building materials, but also in the cavity or to hollow ceilings.

1. Build up the stud frame

Metal profiles or wooden stud frames serve as the basic framework in dry construction, to which the boards, such as plasterboard or gypsum fibreboard, are attached in the second step. CELO offers fastening solutions for both variants as well as connection two boards.
