RAD East

Rad East Torque Systems has announced that it has officially relocated into its new Beamsville, Ontario location. The move to the new 2,500 ft² Velocity Service Centre expands RAD Torque’s capabilities to better service the Eastern Canadian market.

Mark Venables, RAD East’s General Manager, said: “Moving into a larger space increases our warehouse capacity by 300%, which will allow us to expand both our tooling and parts inventory to meet the growing demand we’re seeing in Eastern Canada.”

The all-new service centre will now nearly triple RAD East’s service capabilities compared to 2020, which allows the team to offer automatic servicing and planned maintenance appointments.

“We hope to be able to bring clients and distributors back into the facility soon for our expanded training program and future product launches, with the goal of broadening our team’s knowledge,” he added.

Over the next few months, RAD East plans to focus on its ISO 17025 certification, with Gregg Venables, Office Manager, overseeing the process with the help of the RAD Torque compliance team at our headquarters in Abbotsford, BC. “Having the RAD East facility ISO 17025 certified means that our customers, both locally and throughout Eastern Canada, can trust that their tools are maintained correctly and that our team follows strict protocol,” said Venables.

In addition to RAD East’s program to offer tools, training, servicing, and maintenance to Canada’s Eastern Provinces, the RAD East team hopes to act as a catalyst for RAD’s expanding global business model. Building satellite locations, similar to RAD East’s new space, will hasten the expansion for RAD on a worldwide scale.

“Our goal has always been to provide our existing and future clients with fast response times, rapid service, and detailed training,” added Venables. “We wouldn’t have been able to build this showpiece facility without the help, guidance, and trust from Dan Provost, President and Owner and the rest of the RAD Torque team, in particular our Cheerleader in Chief, Irene Tod. It’s been a long and winding road to get to this point but this new space is exactly what we envisioned back when we started RAD East.”

MW Industries

Charlotte-based precision component manufacturer, MW Industries, has announced that it is bringing together twenty-one of its businesses under a single umbrella known as MW Components.

The new division is on a mission to help manufacturers accelerate and simplify the process of creating, buying, and managing the often complex task of getting the precision parts they need. It means that, whether a customer wants to create a custom component for a specific application or order a stock part, they can do so from a single trusted supplier.

MW Components will be led by Chris Fillmore, an industry veteran with over 15 years’ experience in delivering high-precision components for demanding industries including aerospace, medical, and oil and gas. Additionally, the combined business has over 100 highly-skilled engineers on hand to provide feedback on design for manufacturability, cost, and performance. MW Components’ customers will still deal with the teams they already know and trust. However, those teams will now be able to streamline the entire process of designing, ordering, and managing the multitude of components engineers need to meet their design objectives.

Simon Newman, MW Industries CEO, said: “Our individual businesses have always had a well-deserved reputation of delivering a great product at high speed. Now, with the creation of MW Components, we’re looking forward to unlocking a step-change in how manufacturers get the precision parts they need to thrive. We believe MW Components offers demanding businesses a powerful new partner to help them succeed in today’s challenging markets.”

Additional brands will join MW Components in a staged process over the next 12 months.
