Bollhoff – HELICOIL Smart
The Helicoil Smart has been 65 years in the making. The new smart version of Bollhoff’s decades-old Helicoil technology lends itself to modern lightweight construction requirements, making high strength connections even in small areas.
Helicoil Smart is a thread inset with tang that does not have to be broken off. The installation mandrel bends it backwards during spinning off and then compresses it. It produces high strength threads transferring forces from flank to flank into the holding thread.

Scell-It – E-007
Launched in March, the E-007 tool is said to be the world’s first battery-powered Hollow Wall Anchor setting tool. With one squeeze of the trigger it accurately and quickly sets the fixing, saving time and effort compared with conventional methods like hand grip tools or screwing the anchor in manually. Priced economically, it features a brushless motor, LED lights, reverse button and easy grip handle.

Since launching its first webpage back in 2005, PTS has worked hard to develop its stainless-steel fastener web shop. The responsive site provides customers with a full range of products, as well as specifications, drawings and 3D models to assist customers with their choice. It is available in 6 languages and features accurate stock availability. You can even print catalogues in different languages.

This award recognises businesses that have gone out of their way to support staff in these incredibly strange times.
Optimas
Optimas has brought in a vast array of measures for team members, including a wellness committee and Wellness Wednesdays – something that was introduced at the height of the pandemic to support workers. Optimas has even appointed its first mental health first aider and set up a dedicated wellness area for staff. Last year, Optimas was awarded a Gold Workplace of the year award.
Sustainability Initiative of the Year
Owlett-Jaton
Owlett-Jaton is thought to be the first wholesaler in the industry to achieve ISO 14001 environmental management accreditation. Only using electricity from renewable sources and switching its company car fleet to plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles are just some of the measures it has introduced. Owlett-Jaton sends only 0.5% of its waste to landfill and containers are moved from ports to rail close to its Stone HQ. As well as adhering to the tough ISO standard, Owlett-Jaton has put KPIs in place and regularly reviews its measures to ensure it keeps on cutting its impact on the planet.
