Wipes, cleaners & sprays
Workshops and machines shops are not always the easiest to keep clean, so naturally cleaners and wipes are used in most industrial and engineering set ups…
Big Wipes
This year saw Big Wipes receive FSC Forest Management Chain of Custody Certification for its biodegradable Multi-Surface wipes. The use of the logo guarantees that the viscose used to manufacture Big Wipes’ Multi-Surface wipes comes from responsible sources.
WHAT IS FSC?
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests. FSC is a global network of members, staff, certificate holders, promotional licence holders and responsible consumers. By working together, stakeholders can help to ensure that that forests and forest products are used responsibly, shifting the global forest trend towards sustainable use, conservation, restoration and respect for all.
Since its foundation in 1994, FSC has grown to cover more than 200 million hectares of forest and has become the world’s most respected and widespread forest certification system.
What are Big Wipes Multi-Surface Wipes?
Ideal for leaving a job looking professional and dirt-free, these wipes can remove non-hazardous substances, after which they can be disposed of in normal waste or composted with ‘green’ waste. The wipes conform to EN 14476, so are effective against enveloped viruses (including SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes Covid-19).
Rozone
Rozone is based in the UK’s fastener heartlands, in Darlaston in the Black Country, with a parent company – Rubery Owen – that has over a century in manufacturing, producing industrial, automotive and aerospace components
Rozone supports industrial manufacturers with that is pitched as the first UK-made bioremediating parts washer, the ROwasher.
The ROwasher is used across the UK and Europe in a wide variety of industrial workshops, to clean and degrease dirty, oily parts, including automotive, aerospace, bike and manufacturing components. The ROwasher uses the scientific power of bioremediation, to effectively “eat” the oil and grease washed off dirty parts, reducing the need for hazardous waste disposal, providing cost and environmental advantages.
The development of the ROwasher parts washer and its consumables (the microbial filter mat and the ROwash degreasing solution) was conducted in partnership with scientists at Wolverhampton University, as part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership. Many components and materials were sourced close to home, with the ROwasher’s control box covers sourced in Dudley alongside seals, and the Mobile ROwasher’s wheel axels are sourced directly from Wednesbury.
