AUTOMECHANIKA BIRMINGHAM 2018

Auto-traders

June’s Automechanika Birmingham 2018 featured 500 exhibitors from 26 countries covering a floor space of 9,400 m². Now in its third year, the show welcomed 10,200 automotive industry personnel with products, networking and over 70 hours of seminars. Meet the Buyer and Open Forum events, hosted by SMMT, returned again, bringing together automotive buyers and suppliers to build relationships between OEMs, tier one suppliers and the supply chain.

Sealey

Sealey has launched a new Rollcab with 156 piece Tool Kit, available in orange, red, black or blue. Constructed from heavy gauged steel and manufactured with steel inner walls for extra strength and durability, these rollcabs have a rust and solvent-resistant powder coat paint finish and feature a high polished chrome handle to enable smooth manoeuvrability.

TR Fastenings

TR is looking to automotive’s electric future and is working with a number of firms involved in the design, manufacture and development of Electric Vehicles (EVs). The main focus is on the associated charging units and TR is already putting its technical knowledge and sector expertise to good use, helping key customers involved in commercial and residential EV chargers. According to TR, governmental initiatives and increasing consumer awareness mean the EV sector is starting to gather pace.

Keyence

Keyence’s extensive precision measuring systems has become even more comprehensive with its IM-7030 and IM-7030T, both of which launched this year. With new tools for step-height measurement and an enlarged 200mm x 300mm stage, dimension checks are now available on a wider range of components than ever before. Once configured, up to 99 dimensions can be measured with a single button press.

Automechanika Birmingham will run again next year (4-6 June 2019), before moving biennially to alternate with Automechanika Frankfurt.
